    The stuck moment this fixes

You already have Claude or ChatGPT or Cursor open. You've already typed some version of "help me ship my side project." You got back: a Notion-flavored project plan, a list of "consider these tradeoffs," and three follow-up questions that made you close the tab.

That's not a build partner. That's a polite intern with no context.

A build partner does the thing the chatbot won't: tells you which of your three ideas to kill, names the specific pattern you're stuck in, gives you a two-week plan with a real ship date, and pushes back when you start adding scope at 11pm on a Tuesday. It has a methodology, not just a personality.

This is that. Same Claude.ai window. Different brain inside it.

    What you actually get

One skill file. Inside it, 20+ modules + 11 named frameworks.

Drops into Claude.ai's Skills panel. Covers the full ship arc — from "I haven't decided what to build" to "it's live and I need to figure out what's next."

    • Discovery

Don't have a project picked? Start here. Five entry paths for whatever shape of stuck you're in.

    • Build Audit

Diagnose what's actually broken about the project. It's almost never what you think.

    • Stuck Diagnosis

Figures out which of the 4 Stuck Patterns is in your way (Overcommitter / Perfectionist / Burnout Cycler / Scattered Starter) — different playbook for each.

    • Scope Guillotine

Cut a 3-month plan down to a 10-day plan without flinching.

    • 10-Day Sprint

The ship rhythm that works for people with day jobs.

    • 15-Minute Launch Plan

Fill seven prompts, walk out with a plan you'd actually follow.

    • 6-Week Roadmap

The build-to-launch arc, weighted toward shipping not planning.

    • Validation Kit

RICE-scored idea triage plus the 10-Conversation Method. Kill, pivot, or commit in under an hour.

    • Idea Bank

Pull side-project ideas out of your own behavioral data — subscriptions, open tabs, browser graveyard.

    • Day-Job Decision

STAY / NEGOTIATE / QUIT — opinionated verdict with runway math and three conversation scripts.

    • Full Pipeline

End-to-end run when you want the whole thing in order.

Every template is conversational. You don't paste prompts. You talk to it like you'd talk to Molly on a call.

    How it works

Install once. Then pick your entry path.

    1. Open Claude.ai
    2. Click +
    3. Skills → Add → upload ai-build-partner-kit.zip
    4. New conversation. Ask for what you need.

The skill opens with five entry paths:

    • 01"I have an idea but no plan"
    • 02"I have 3 ideas, which one?"
    • 03"I have an abandoned project sitting in a drawer"
    • 04"I want to build an audience first, then a product"
    • 05"I have a V1 nobody's seen yet"

Each path routes to the right diagnostic, not a generic onboarding form.

What a real conversation looks like

    You

I have 3 ideas, which one?

    AI Build Partner

Drop them. One sentence each — what it is, who it's for. Don't sell me. I'll run them through Project Selector logic: shipping speed, audience overlap with what you already have, energy fit, and the will-you-still-care-in-6-weeks test.

    You

    [pastes three ideas]

    AI Build Partner

Idea #2 ships in 10 days. Idea #1 ships in 4 months and you'll quit week three because the audience doesn't exist yet. Idea #3 is a real business but you're not ready for it — park it. Want me to run a Build Audit on #2, or do you already have a plan and we just scope it?

That's the whole texture. It picks a side. It tells you which one is going to break you. It moves to the next step without making you ask twice.

    Who this is for
    • Senior tech employees with a Claude.ai sub (free tier fine) and a side project that's been "almost ready to ship" since 2024.
    • People who already use AI daily but keep getting platitudes when they ask it about their own work.
    • Builders who want methodology, not motivation.
    Who this isn't for
    • Anyone who wants done-for-you. The AI walks you through your own decisions. It won't write the code or run the launch.
    • People who don't already use Claude. Set up the account first — this is useless without it.
    • Anyone looking for "10x productivity hacks." This is a methodology. Methodologies are boring on purpose.
The upgrade path · zero pressure

The free version doesn't get worse when you upgrade. It gets bigger.

Today: install the free skill, run it standalone. The 20+ modules and 11 named frameworks stay free forever. Nobody's going to email you a guilt-trip funnel.

If and when you buy The Ship It Kit: the Kit ships with an AI extension pack — a second file you drop into the same Skills folder. The skill detects it and upgrades to Kit-mode: all 24 T-templates from the Kit become AI-callable on top of the frameworks you already have. Same conversation, deeper toolkit.

Marketing OS skills install separately — they're their own Claude.ai Skills entries, not bundled into this one. Different brain, different job.

    Read before you install

    Frequently asked.

Is this really free, or is there a catch?

Free. The catch — if you want to call it one — is that if you love it, you might buy The Ship It Kit later. If you don't, you don't. The skill works fully on its own.

What's the difference between this and prompts I could write myself?

You could absolutely write the prompts. You could also build a CRM in Notion instead of using one. The question is whether the methodology is worth the rebuild time. The 20+ modules are pulled from years of running 1:1 build partnerships — including the framework names, the specific questions that surface the right pattern, and the order operations get triggered in. You're not paying for cleverness. You're skipping six months of figuring out which prompts actually work.

    Do I need a paid Claude.ai subscription?

Free tier works. You'll hit Claude's free-tier message limits faster on long sessions, but the skill itself runs on whatever plan you have.

    What happens to my data?

Conversations stay inside your Claude.ai account. I don't see them, I don't have access, nothing's logged anywhere I can read. The skill is just a file — it doesn't phone home.

How is this different from Marc Lou's ShipFast AI assistant or other dev tools?

ShipFast is for shipping a SaaS — code stack, boilerplate, hosting. This is for shipping a project — the part where you decide what to build, kill the wrong scope, and not abandon it week two. Different layer. Use both if you're building a SaaS. Use this alone if you're building a newsletter, a course, a consulting practice, a community, or a physical product where the bottleneck isn't code.

Can I customize it for my voice or my specific situation?

Yes. Inside a conversation, tell it the constraints — 'I have 3 hours a week, not 8' or 'I'm building for a B2B audience, not consumers.' It adapts. The frameworks bend without breaking.

If I buy the Kit later, do I lose my conversation history?

No. The extension pack adds to the existing skill. Your prior conversations stay in your Claude history exactly as they were. The upgrade just makes new conversations more powerful.

What if I install it and it's bad?

Delete the skill. Takes ten seconds. You're back to a normal Claude session. Nothing changed.

Install it. Talk to it. See what happens.

Sixty seconds after install you'll know if this is the build partner you've been trying to prompt your way into. If it is, the install was the only decision you had to make today. Everything else, it'll walk you through.
